- 1 round loaf of rustic bread (bread boule)
- 1 wheel of brie (about 12 ounces, triple cream recommended)
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Fresh ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the Oven:.
- Step 2: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 3: Prepare the Bread:.
- Step 4: Slice off the top quarter of the bread loaf. Place the brie wheel in the center of the bread to trace a circle, then use a knife to cut out the middle of the bread, creating a space for the brie to sit.
- Step 5: Cut the Bread for Dipping:.
- Step 6: Around the edge of the bread, make cuts about Step 1: 5 inches apart, going three-quarters of the way down without cutting through the bottom. This will create easy pull-apart pieces for dipping.
- Step 7: Season the Bread:.
- Step 8: Brush the inside of the bread with olive oil. Season it with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, then sprinkle half of the fresh thyme leaves inside the bread.
- Step 9: Add the Brie and Cranberry Sauce:.
- Step 10: Place the brie wheel in the hollowed-out center of the bread. Top the brie with the remaining thyme and spoon the cranberry sauce over the cheese.
- Step 11: Bake the Brie:.
- Step 12: Replace the top of the bread and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper to catch any melted brie that might ooze out. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the brie is melted and the bread is warm and slightly crispy.

- Step 14: Remove the bread from the oven and serve immediately. For extra dipping options, you can toast the bread pieces scooped out from the center and serve them alongside.
